Our Story
Stockyards Brick Company was founded in the fall of 2013. Located in the heart of the Chicago’s famous Union Stockyards we have continual access to some of the city’s most desired salvageable materials. Working with salvage and demolition companies along with our own knowledgeable staff, we at Stockyards Brick have made recycling, repurposing, and reuse of these valuable resources possible.Our staff has a long record of working in the reclaimed brick and architectural salvage industry. Each member of our team takes pride in being able to offer our customers a beautiful, environmentally conscious product.
We look forward to sharing our knowledge and expertise with you and welcome all inquiries you may have. We intend to go forth and make this an exciting adventure into the world of “what was…and what can be.”
WHAT WE DO
Stockyards Brick reclaims vintage brick and other materials from structures scheduled for demolition throughout the Midwest. We are able to salvage brick, stone, granite, and limestone along with vintage lumber and other architectural artifacts. From procurement of a building, to deconstruction, to regeneration of materials, we go to great lengths to ensure that the “bones” of these beautiful old buildings have an extended life as today’s design elements.
We are committed to the idea of sustainable living and all of our materials are from old structures, leading to not only unmatched beauty but also LEED certification of the buildings we work with.
